SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

CSS create value for employees by means of training, competitive remuneration, shares in the company, recognition, career advancement opportunities and assistance with individual development and growth.

CSS also focus its responsibilities towards the development of historically disadvantaged individuals concentrating on three key areas:

  1. Training:  Training at CSS TIRISANO varies depending on company and market needs.  Statistics show that the greatest challenge is on a technical and senior management level.  There are also programs available through internship and development training.

In terms of labour legislation, 1% of CSS’ payroll is paid as a training levy.  CSS is registered with ISETT SETA and participate in their skills transfer programs specifically aimed at HDI’s.  CSS have submitted an application to place learners on Technical Support Learnerships in 2005.

CSS implemented a technical and sales training program that currently trains unemployed HDI matriculants.  This program is aimed at developing professional technical support staff and sales executives, to strengthen our abilities and to develop our core strengths.  In the previous financial year 2.6% of the payroll was spent on this program.

  2. To contribute to the generation of balanced and shared sustainable economic growth through the creation of support of SMME partnerships.

  3. Skills training to major social development areas.  In addition to education and training, with the support of our suppliers, CSS continuously identify and donate ITC related equipment to disadvantaged schools in the areas we do business in.  CSS's internal expertise is put into good use in terms of skills transfer.

CSS is committed to ploughing back a part of our profits into the upliftment of the community we operate in.
